We represent you to help make a difference
Transport problems cost Sussex businesses an average of £29,000 each year. This costs the Sussex economy £2 billion every year.
Transport schemes the Government has approved in Sussex include: Bexhill to Hastings Link Road, Beddingham Level Crossing (works completed) and Chichester bypass improvements.
We will continue to campaign for improvements at Worthing/Lancing A27, a bypass at Arundel and for a new Park and Ride scheme for Brighton & Hove.
We are also campaigning for improvements and long-term investment along the Brighton to London Mainline. In 2007, Sussex Enterprise responded to the DfT’s Gatwick Express consultation and gave a cautious welcome to the retention of the non-stop service to London.
At a national level, Sussex Enterprise’s members contributed to the British Chambers of Commerce’s reports: The Congestion Question and Reconnecting Britain.
