Sustainable Routes is an EU grant which helps businesses reduce travel costs and emissions. The grant of up to £1,000 can be put towards the costs of implementing initiatives such as video conferencing, laptops for working from home, servers, LPG conversions, bike racks, showers….and much more.
The programme, delivered by Buckinghamshire based Ngage Solutions, is available to businesses from sole traders to 250 employees who have traded for 2 years or more with a t/o of at least £75,000. The grant programme has recently been extended to include more areas in the South East of England – Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Kent and Medway, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex. Just register at www.sustainableroutes.co.uk and a Travel Efficiency Plan and Grant Application Form will be sent instantly. The Plan shows the savings from simple changes and highlights areas for using the grant.
Sustainable Routes Project Manager Philip Wootton says: “It’s great to be helping businesses in the current climate. If any business is thinking of cutting down their mileage or introducing more home working, this is the ideal opportunity to get some really good advice and of course some financial support which is pretty thin on the ground at the moment.”
